Dr. Kallam was born and raised in West Virginia and received his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from West Virginia University. He did his internship in Charlotte, North Carolina and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Memorial in Dallas. He spent two years with the U.S. Army in Anniston, Alabama and one year at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston for a Gyn Oncology Fellowship. He moved to Arlington to join Ob Gyn Associates of Arlington in 1975 where he has continued to live and practice. He enjoys golf and watching sporting events. He has authored or coauthored numerous patient education publications involving women's health issues.

Memberships: Dr. Kallam is certified and currently re certified by the American Board of Ob Gyn. He is a fellow of the American College of Ob Gyn, a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and the Tarrant County Medical Society and Texas Association of Ob Gyn. He serves on the executive boards of the Southwestern Gynecological Assembly and the DFW Miracle League.

Honors and Appointments: Dr. Kallam was recognized as the Arlington Physician of the Year in 1999. He has served as a Chief of Staff for the Arlington Memorial Hospital and was awarded the Dale Rank Physician Leadership Award. He received the national Mead-Johnson Focus on Patient Education award for cholesterol education in a medical practice. He has served as President of the Southwestern Gynecological Assembly and is currently the Secretary-Treasurer of Section 2, District XI American College of Ob Gyn.
